600hp+smiter duo places in hardmode?
I was wondering where are some good places to do this duo run besides the obvious gates of kryta/ outside hotsprings undead stuff.
It's probably not too possible for hard mode UW since you don't really have enough stuff to kill the dying nightmare (I don't think) in time. Then again I guess maybe if it attacked enough inbetween maybe? I don't really have a clue. And I would hate to think of all the time of enemies fleeing from the ai aoe nerf.
So, any ideas/ suggestions?

Anywhere people used to farm with 600's still works in HM, and the AI is the same as before. Take groups of 3 and they don't break aggro. Take huge mobs and they do. Avoid too much AoE or they scatter.

Does anyone know how you can stop them from running away if you do aggro a huge group? I have heard that some people have managed to stop them from scattering all over the place by I guess pushing them all against the wall and sort of body blocking them in, but I don't really know exactly how to do it.

You will find bunching them against a wall on your right will stop them scattering. Get aggro and get against a wall to your right, slowly tap back so they are bunched (in front of you) and then hit them with all you have. They are unable to run but its funny watching smites trying to climb the wall lol (also works in DOA etc).
Good luck

Once you get them bunched up do you need to like move around so you get on their left or something or do you just need to get them in that tight ball?

nightmares are not the slightest problem.. at least for my build with frenzy.. i think 3-4 DN attacks and it's dead - of course as long as you have SB..

As long as you take 3 smallish steps back, roughly 1 second apart they will bunch up very tightly in a ball and wont scatter.

That's a build I read on here a while ago and here's a bit of information, the so called "600-Smite duo" build (I really rather prefer calling it the "Spirit Bond" build too since the amount of health doesn't really matter in order to trigger Spirit Bond in the correct set up) works PERFECTLY in HARDMODE FoW, a team of two monks is all that needed (no need for a SS Necro). This would NOT work in normal because you won't be able to get by the groups with Shadow Monk in them as it will keep on healing itself and the others, however in Hardmode the monk somehow tend to heal the others a LOT more than itself, that plus the faster rate it's attacking it will die on its own, no need to take along a Necro to put SS and Spinal Shiver as mentioned in that thread. It takes about 30 mins for a team of two monks to clear a path to the Skeleton area and clear all the skeletons, my inventory is always full before I reach the 3 Ghosts and I usually get on average 3 gold items and 2-3 shards.

hmm.. doesn't work for me.. monks still heal too much.. it's more like luck when one of them goes down..
i tried it with bonneti's defense (instead of blessed signet), but maybe it'll work with a visage..

Have you tried this in HARDMODE? As I said this will NOT work in Normal Mode because the Monk heal too much, but in HARDMODE I have NEVER had the problem of Monks not dying because of that, the longest I have seen the Monks last is about 45 seconds. The only "hard" part I have encountered with any Monk group is actually the Shadow Beasts as they don't hit hard enough and keeps using SS and Consume Corpse, even this can be dealt with the Smite bonder carrying Signet of Judgement and Purge Signet. Another way I sometimes deal with the Shadow Beasts is having the tank carrying Vital Blessing instead of Balance Stance (Intead of Mantra of Ressolve posted in the link), so the Bonder only need to max out Smiting Prayers, and take a second class of Necromancer, max out Curse and take SS to take down the Shadow Beasts. I would suggest against taking Bonneti's Defense in this build because you WANT them to hit you in order to reflect the damage, and also against either of the Visages since that have a tendency of scatter the Shadow Warriors, and the last thing you want is having one of those chase down the Bonder or attacking Rastigan. I'd be glad to show this to you in game if you like.

get smiter to stand way back out of aggro so that when scatter happens they dont go after them. then on the 600hp take sv or av use it once or twice standing next to a monk while lots of melee are on you. The monks run out of energy ans cant heal. They then just attack you with their staff/wand and die very quickly.

Did you back up so that the 2 monks sat side by side?
